THE NZ HOUSE & GARDEN TOURS ARE BACK!

For the first time, the NZ House & Garden House Tours 2017 will be held in five locations around New Zealand!

In February, March and April 2017 we’ll be holding our ninth tour season: once again we’ll give you the chance to step inside the pages of NZ House & Garden and experience some of the country’s most beautiful homes – and all for a good cause. The NZ House & Garden House Tours 2017 is again proudly supporting The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

This year the tours will be held in the following five locations: Hawke's Bay, Tauranga, Wanaka, Christchurch and Auckland.

Purchase your NZ House & Garden House Tour 2017 ticket to go in the draw to win a 15-day luxury, all-inclusive Magnificent Europe river cruise with APT (valued at $20,500* including air fares). Terms and Conditions apply.

Join us for a day of indulgence and fun this summer. Come and stay or perhaps make a weekend of it as there is a huge range of exciting homes and gardens, as well as local eateries and attractions to enjoy in each area. Each tour will be held on a Friday from 10am to 4pm. This will be a self-drive tour, taking in seven to nine houses in the area. Look out for our exciting House Tour Hubs again this year - the perfect way to start and end your day.

The Hub will open at 8:30am. This year at The Hub you can pick up your tour bag, or stop along your tour route for some food, refreshments and amazing competitions as well as bathroom facilities. Meet staff from the magazine and hear more about the great work The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation are doing. The Hub will also be open an additional hour after the House Tours close, and is the perfect way to wind down after such a fun-filled day.

Some important information to note:

  • Participants will be able to choose which house to start at during the registration process. This will ensure that groups traveling together can start together at the same house. Note: houses are numbered at random so choose any house as a starting location.
  • To ensure the smooth running of the event you MUST start at the house you have been allocated on your ticket. If you arrive at a different house you will be turned away.
  • All tickets are e-tickets, no tickets will be mailed to you. You will receive your e-ticket which will show your starting house number, via email.
  • Name changes on tickets won't be accepted two weeks prior to each tour.
  • House addresses and details will be released two weeks prior to each tour - please check the website for updated details. You will also recieve an email with all of the information you will need one week prior to the event).
  • Please be aware, there will be strictly no shoes on inside houses - only socks or bare feet. Shoe bags will be provided to everyone on the day. Wear comfortable shoes as there will be some walking required.
  • Please ensure you have a photo ID for registration purposes. We will require your photo ID for you to pick up your wristband. This year you have the option of collecting the wristband from The Hub from 8:30am or at your first house.
  • You can collect your tour bag and booklet from The Hub throughout the day.
  • During the summer months, it is important to keep yourself hydrated and protected from the sun. We recommend you bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen.
